ACIP recommends third MMR vaccine during mumps outbreaks

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recently voted unanimously in favor of a third dose of the measles-mumps-rubella vaccine for individuals identified by public health officials as being at risk during a mumps outbreak, such as is going on at Syracuse University.
